Another steal from Once Upon a Child! Love this dress; it's really for the fall I think since it came with a sweater, but who can wait to try this on their baby?

Evie did a lovely job taking this one. She's just getting so good with the camera. Actually what you don't see here is our mad dash to sit down after we set the timer. Maybe we can talk a nice neighbor into taking one for us soon!



This one just cracks me up. She can instantly turn on her serious face with no problem.

worth the wait

My daddy sure loves me a lot. He built me this wooden kitchen so that I could cook dinner when my mommy cooks dinner. It took him a long time...it seemed anything that could go wrong did go wrong. He said something about screws not fitting and wood warping but I don't have any idea what that means. All I know is that I have a refrigerator and freezer complete with magnetic doors, burners, an oven with plexi glass on the door so I can see what's cookin', and a drawer under the oven for my pots and pans. Thanks, daddy!

After an afternoon at the pool and a delicious dinner of leftovers, mommy and daddy let me have an Oreo. Only this time they gave me a dunk tank too, which I've never had before. Mommy was just being sweet to me because I gave her so many hugs today, but then she said, "I should really be getting pictures of this." Hence this post.

Then I figured out that I could probably drink the leftover milk myself, and that's when the fun stopped and the cleanup crew came in...

And that is what summer should be about. Sitting in a diaper and a bikini top dunking oreos with your mommy and daddy!

Me and my daddy love to be silly together. Here I am riding on his back today.

(mommy said she wanted to get more of daddy in the picture but she had the wrong lens on her camera and was too caught in the moment to be changing it)

Here is me playing airplane on daddy's feet. My mommy thinks my daddy's feet are like hands, but I think if anything ever happens to his hands and he has to use his feet to do things, he'll be better off with finger-toes.

just because

I was sitting on the porch this morning minding my own business and mommy asked if she could go get the camera, so I humored her and said yes. I don't know why she wanted to take my picture right at that moment, she said something about the curl that was in my face and the shirt I was wearing...and something about the way I was just sitting there on the porch watching the cars go by.

too many cooks in the kitchen

Today daddy had the day off (mommy says because it is Independence Day), so we made banana muffins together. He let me stir the flour, but even though I kept saying, "Evie do it! Evie do it!" he wouldn't take his hand off of that spoon. My daddy sure is great though. And my mommy sure did love his muffins (she's pregnant you know, and she likes food).



In the next picture I have peanut butter all over my face. I like to call it "pea-bo" and mommy and daddy think they can get me to eat my bananas if they smear it on the banana. I've outsmarted them though, and I just lick it off the banana. I eat a whole banana every once in a while, but if I ate all of the bananas there wouldn't be any to make banana muffins with. I like to spread the wealth (and the pea-bo).



I hope you had a happy 4th of July. I wore this special dress today in honor of our great nation.
